But now, I'm going to.

I'm itching to do something with my hair.

Stitches

That's right.

4 days before my wedding.

Here is a lovely picture.

Now, the story.
Yesterday was fast sunday, so, I was fasting.

Kyle and I had stayed at Nathan and Melanie's the night before, and had gone to church with them that day.
I was helping Holly and Melanie get dinner ready. The entire immediate Hanson family was together, and so we were going to have this great dinner.
I had just finished putting the tomatoes in the salad, and I started getting pretty dizzy. I told Melanie that I wasn't feeling too good.

I thought to myself that I should sit down, and started making my way over to the couch. The next thing I remember, I heard a loud crash, and wondered if the kids were ok.

I opened my eyes, and say I was laying facedown on the kitchen floor.

I kind of lifted up my head and saw blood underneath me, and then I realized that Melanie was crouched down beside me, and Holly was calling Kyle and Evan up.

I was turned over, and could sort of piece together that I had fainted. Nothing hurt for a few minutes, and then my chin started burning.
Mel grabbed a dish towel and held it up to my face.

Kyle and Evan took me to the Instacare. I was bawling, my chin hurt so much! and plus I was still kind of in shock. And I've never had stitches before, so I didn't know what to expect. After numbing me up really good, the doctor gave me two stitches on the inside, and six on the outside.

They get removed Friday.

And my face is sore. So is the rest of my body. I guess collapsing onto a counter and then the floor can do that to you.

So, that's the story.

Quick Update

What a crazy week it has been, and what a crazy week is to come!

Quick rundown of our lives right now...

On Wednesday night I went to a bridal shower for Nikki and I. Lindsay, Bonnie, Adrianne, Leanna and Natali were all able to come, and it was a great time.

I love those girls.

Thursday I was up bright and early and got all moved into our new apartment!

Our new apartment is in the Cambridge Court complex (yes, I moved so far from the Riv, across the street...) and it is so cute!

I'll post pictures in a few weeks after we have our apartment in order.

Thursday was also commencement for Kyle!

Holly and Evan (Kyle's parents) and my mom and sister and I all went.

Elder Christofferson was the speaker, and gave a great talk.

Friday we finished moving me in, and my wonderful mother cleaned my (old) apartment for me so I could get ready for Kyle's convocation.

Holly, Evan, Blaine (Kyle's brother) and I went, and to be honest, it was so boring.

And long!

But, we made it through.

Kyle's officially an alum of BYU!

After convocation was over, we got in the car, and drove down to Price for Kyle's Grandpa's viewing.

The viewing was nice, and seeing all the family was great.

We stayed the night down there, and the following morning was the funeral service.

It was wonderful, and sad, and inspiring.

Grandpa Hanson was an amazing man.

And so is Kyle's dad, hence why we are going to name our first son after them (Harold).

Saturday night, I was able to go through the temple.

It was an amazing experience.

I loved it.

My mom was there, and so were Holly, Evan, Nathan, Mel, Blaine and Alan.

I'm so glad that could all be there.

Sunday we went to church and went and ate dinner at Nathan and Mel's.

And relaxed.

Now I'm working full time at Independent Study.

Kyle is finishing up his last few days at the MTC and looking for another job.

We're moving in most of Kyle's stuff.

And getting last minute wedding things done.

the weekend

was amazing.

However, we don't have the internet right now.

And work is crazy busy.

So I just wanted to say hello.

And that when I have more time, I'll catch you all up.

Temples are amazing.

Kyle is amazing.

Temples

This is where I am going to receive my endowments, this Saturday, the 24th of April!

And this is where Kyle and I are going to be sealed for time and all eternity in 17 days, on the 6th of May!


Temples are such marvelous and gorgeous things.
With Grandpa Hanson passing away just last night, and our marriage coming up so soon, the importance of temples has really hit home.
Only through a temple marriage, a sealing, for time and all eternity, can one be with their spouse forever.
And that sealing blessing is what holds together families.
Forever.
Forever is something I can't comprehend.
I doubt anyone on this Earth really can.
Even if we think we do, it's so much more.

Families truly are forever.

The week of crazy...

This week is going to be a busy one.

Today, Kyle and I both took a final, both worked, and we also were able to go get our flowers figured out! That was the last big thing to do for the wedding, so we're glad it's done.

Tomorrow, I have a final, Kyle had a couple, and I have work.
We are also going to get our marriage license!
That is sort of an important thing to have in order to get married.

Wednesday, I have one more final, and Kyle and I both have work.
I also have a bridal shower that night :)

Thursday, we are moving me into our new apartment!
Kyle also graduates!

Friday, we need to move the rest of my stuff into the apartment, and clean the apartment I'm in now.
Kyle also works in the morning... we're planning on missing part 2 of graduation.
Then, it's off to Price.
Kyle's grandpa Hanson died last night, and Friday night is his viewing.

Saturday morning is Grandpa Hanson's funeral.
Then, it's back up to the Draper Temple in order for me to receive my endowments!

Wow, what a week.

Most of the time it's a good thing.
I am suuuuuuuper organized, and lists help keep me that way.

Sorry if that last post felt super disjointed.

I wrote it at random times, and then just posted it.

So, sorry about that.

Well, moving on, we found an apartment!

It's in the Cambridge Court complex, and we're so excited!

It's the first apartment that we've looked at that has an actually kitchen, and living room, not to mention a walk in closet!

The other few apartments we looked at were tiny and one had ceilings too low for Kyle, haha.

Anyway, we went and looked at it today, told them we wanted it, and we're going to the office tomorrow to sign the contract. Provided they "accept" as, but let's be honest, we're not convicts or anything, ha.
We also can start moving in on Thursday, which means we can get all my stuff moved out by Saturday when my cleaning check is scheduled at 11:45 am.
That's also a blessing.
So that is one HUGE check mark on our to-do list.

We also got most of our invites mailed out today.
Hallelujah.
Invites have been the bane of my existence.
We just have about 30 more to go (we didnt' get enough stamps).

Let's see.... life is going well.
I've just gotta get through finals week, and then I'll be a lot less stressed.
But, having an apartment has definitely left us both feeling a lot lighter.
Now to tackle the rest of our to-do lists...

Can you believe it?
Can I believe it?
It's totally crazy. And I am so dang excited.

This weekend was a great one.
Friday night Kyle and I spent quite a few hours stuffing envelopes. Oh, great times. And my roommates had some friends over and we watched Jungle Book.

Saturday Kyle's sister-in-law threw me and Jess a double bridal shower. It was so much fun! All of Kyle's aunts and some of his cousins were there. They're all so nice, and we were given a lot of great stuff! We got a tent, which Kyle was so excited about :) And lots of things for the kitchen, and some bath towels, and a blanket.
Afterwards, we went to Best Buy to get me a new phone.
That's right, my phone just randomly up and died on Friday. Bye bye my beautiful Samsung slider, you were an amazing phone for almost 3 whole years.
Anyway, so, we went, and added me onto Kyle's plan, and I got a beautiful new phone. It's the Samsung Highlight. It looks like this. And I love it.

Then we went back to Nathan and Melanie's, ate pizza, and watched Sherlock Holmes.

Missy also finished up with some of my bridals! Here are a few of them :)





I love them, and I can't wait to see all of them!

Conference Weekend

For Kyle's birthday, I bought him tickets to the Jazz vs Warriors game.
We went up at about 6 on Wednesday night, and ate dinner at Crown Burger (yum!)
The game was fun!
Our seats were pretty much placed right in the middle of a group of Hispanic young women/young mens group. Most of them looked to be around 13-14 years old.
They were so funny, and those girls had super high pitched scream! haha
Next to us was a family, and their little boy and I made faces at each other for a good 15 minutes, it was so funny.
The actually game was good too, haha.
The Jazz won! And it wasn't that close most of the time.

Yesterday, I got my bridals taken!
It was SO much fun.
My photographer is my good friend, Missy Russell, and she's amazing.
Ayisha came along for the ride (and to help me switch shoes, and to hand me my bouquet, and to help me put lipgloss on, and to help fix my hair, and to help me get in and out of the car, among other things).
Ayisha's older sister, Kavita, has been doing my hair forever, and she owns the Hidden Clipper, which happens to be right next door to my apartment.. Anyway, she did my hair, which looked great.

So, we went to the orchard right by the State Hospital in Provo.
And there's a cute little white house there too.
So fun.
I loved getting all dressed up, especially in my wedding dress.
I just love my dress so much.
We also went out by Utah Lake, but it was freezing by that time, so we only spent about 10-15 minutes there.
I can't wait to see how they turned out!

Today, of course, is General Conference.
I love it.
I heard so many great quotes, but I didn't have the opportunity to write them down.
That's why I love the May issue of the Ensign!
I already can't wait to read it!
Kyle and I also ran errands in between sessions.
First, we went to my cousin Katrina's and picked up our invites.
They look amazing!

Now just to put them all together, and print inserts, and stuff envelopes, etc.
We also went and registered at Kohl's. I finally found a bedspread that I really like.
Then, we went and picked up Kyle's ring at Sierra West!
Oh, it looks so good, I love it!
And it looks great on his hand too.
He's wearing it all day today, to "get used to it".
Silly guy.

Now, he's off to Priesthood with Alan and Nathan, and I'm going to go hang out with the MG's!
Oh, how I love them.

33 days!!

Let me introduce you...

to this cute man.

He's my fiance.

And it's his 24th BIRTHDAY today.

So, I wanted to share 24 reasons I love him.

1. He loves me for me.
2. He loves this Gospel so much, it's incredible and inspiring.
3. He is so humble, about everything.
4. He's cute.
5. He's going to be the greatest/cutest husband and daddy.
6. He has such a strong testimony, and it helps build my own.
7. He looks out for others more than he does for himself.
8. He's nice.
9. He thinks almost exactly the same way I do. It's kind of freaky how often we are thinking the exact same thing at the exact same time.
10. He is always searching for more ways to make me happy.
11. He helps build me up, even when I'm feeling down.
12. We're on the same level. Spirituality wise, maturity wise, etc.
13. His broad shoulders.
14. His smile.
15. He makes me feel happy.
16. He will let me be silly, and he'll be silly with me.
17. He lets me talk and talk and talk.
18. There's not a part of me he doesn't love.
19. We're going to be together forever.
20. His love for his family.
21. His love for the Savior, and our Heavenly Father.
22. How much he loved his mission in Paraguay, and his love for the people he taught.
23. He's a smarty pants.
24. He has great goals for life, which are aligned with mine.

There's lots of other reasons, but I'll spare you.

And, in 36 days, we are going to this beautiful temple, to get married.
And to be sealed for time and all eternity.

Festival of Color's Photos

Well, the Festival of Colors was amazingly fun, as always! I guess I'm going to sound like a hippie when I say this, but I honestly just love it. Music's playing, it's all about love, we're all colored and the same. Call me crazy, but I really think it's an awesome, uniting (at least, kind of) experience. Dang, I would have totally been a hippie. I went with Emily and Natalie, and we met up with Dani, Naylor, Paul, Steve and... I think that's it.

After, Em, Nat and I went to Sammy's. I love, love, love Sammy's! And I tried their apple pie shake for the first time. Oh, my, amazing! I'm a chocolate lover, give me chocolate anytime! But... I'm a huge sucker for apple pie. Wow. Greatest shake I've ever had.

Then, I showered, and Kyle came over, and, SURPRISE! He had rented The Time Traveler's Wife! I've been wanting to watch it ever since it came out. I really liked the book, so I was excited for the movie. The movie was great, but definitely a tear jerker. I was sobbing. I liked the character development a lot better in the book, but it was still really good! It's the type of movie that I "hate" the first time, because it makes me cry, and so emotional, but one that I will love always. (Other example: PS I Love You).

Ohhh, by the way. The play Kyle and I went and saw on Friday night? "As You Like It"? It was... not good. Don't get me wrong, the acting was great. The singing voices... not so much. And I felt like part of the plot was missing, or confused, since they modernized it. Oh well.

I LOVED the weather today... But it's supposed to turn cold again. Boo! Hopefully it will be all nice and pretty by Friday, because that's when I'm getting my bridals taken! Yay! I am SO excited for that.

There are so many things I should be doing... Wedding, homework, life plans... But I don't want to. The next five weeks are going to fly by. I'm so glad, because I want it to be May 6th, right now. But, I have so much to do before then, 5 weeks doesn't sound long enough. Such is life.

I'm going to stop typing before I start rambling all over the place. Maybe I'll go clean my room... and write in my journal all the things I shouldn're ramble about on my blog, haha.

I'm feeling

overly stressed out today.

Somehow between classes, projects, tests, work, and wedding stuff, I all of a sudden feel extremely overwhelmed.
And tired.
I would just like a break.
WHY doesn't BYU get a Spring Break? It's really taking it's toll on me.

There is so much to do, and not enough time, and no energy to do it all.

Kyle and I have a lot of fun plans for this weekend, though.
Tonight we're going to see BYU's rendition of "As You Like It." We're watching it for extra credit for our Humanities class, but I'm also just excited to see it. Apparently they have changed it to modern times, so it should be way interesting.

Tomorrow we are probably running errands, like we do every Saturday.
Then, we are going to the

FESTIVAL OF COLORS!!

I absolutely love the Festival of Colors. I went last year (my first time) and had a blast. Kyle has never been, and I told him that we had to go! I'm way excited.

Tomorrow night we might go to a mission reunion. Kyle's mission president's wife is in town this weekend, so they might be getting together, so we'll see!

So...

I'm getting married in 6 weeks (and two days).
It just hit me yesterday.
Where have the last 6 months gone???

There are only 3 weeks left of school, and then finals.
That also freaks me out.
I still have PLENTY of school work left, including 2 midterms.

Oh, life.

Summertime

I am so ready for summer.
Last summer was probably the best of my life.
Kyle and I started dating.
We went on many great adventures.

I didn't work, so I could do anything I wanted (well, kind of).

Yesterday, Kyle and I were driving to IKEA. We were already in Sandy, so we just hopped on a frontage road and went south. The warm weather had heated up the car, so I was feeling rather toasty, we rolled down the windows, slid back the sun roof, and I was wearing my sunglasses. For a brief moment, I forgot that it was March, quite chilly outside, and that I still have infinite amounts of homework to be focusing on.

For that brief moment, it was just Kyle and I, and the world was perfect.

That is what summer does for me.

Makes me feel carefree, and that the world could be no better than it is right now.

And I am ready for it.

Weekendness

Yesterday was a marathon day, that's for sure.

We did a TON of stuff.

Kyle and I left Provo at about 10:30, and drove up to Sandy. We met up with Alan and Jess, and Nathan, Melanie, Whitney and Liam to celebrate Liam's 3rd birthday at Chuck E. Cheese's.

(forgive me as a good off on a small rant about "where a kid can be a kid")

I worked at Chuck E Cheese's for 1 1/2 years (although it seems like much longer) during high school. I started at the end of January my junior year, and quit right before I moved down to Provo to start BYU.
By the time I left, I was a team leader, I knew how to do virtually everything, I had cleaned up numerous bodily, er, messes, I had hosted many a birthday party, could announce a birthday and do the birthday dance in my sleep, I could tell you exactly what you could get for x amount of tickets at merch. I knew the prices backwards and forward, I could wash dishes so fast, I could bus tables like there was no tomorrow, I could fix games in a jiffy, I could make and cut pizzas, I could keep the salad bar fresh and looking great, I could make some awesome cotton candy, I was an expert bathroom cleaner, I could count money, I knew the regulars, I had seen at least a 20 minute wait to get a table at CEC, and ..... the list goes on.
My co-workers were awesome, I made such good friends with most of them, and I still keep in contact with most. Management was great, and were great at scheduling. The latest I (usually) worked was 10 pm on weekdays, and 11 pm on weekends. They weren't open Sunday's.
Again, let me say, I love Chuck E Cheese's.

Ok, rant over. So, even though it was a different CEC than the one I worked at, it still brought back some great memories, and I had a ton of fun.

After we left CEC, Kyle and I went to IKEA and picked out some picture frames for our reception. We also got a couple of pillows for 99 cents, each! Oh, IKEA, how I love you.

Then, it was off to Bed, Bath and Beyond to register.
Oh my.
Even though BB&B make it super easy and as painless as possible to register, it is still so frustrating, and LONG. Our registry helper (what do they call them??) was named Janet. Janet was great, and so helpful, and friendly. And she even gave us water bottles. She gave us some great pointers.
(Plus, I got to see my great friend, Heidi, who works there.)
The actual registering was... well, at first, not so great. Kyle and I don't even have opinions that differ by a lot, and we were still getting frustrated. We ended with cooking/kitchenware though, and because of that, we actually were in better moods, because we love kitchen stuff, and so we had a lot of fun registering for the things that we know we will use and really want. We also really love our dinnerware that we registered for!
We wish that registering for stuff meant that we automatically get it all! hahah.
(Side note, Alan and Jess were registering at the same time as us! Fun!)

So, we were at BB&B for a good three hours.
Wow.

Then, we ate Subway, and watched the BYU game at Alan's.
After a great start, BYU sadly lost.
Also, Kansas lost, which totally killed my bracket.
Kyle and I are the two lowest in our family's bracket challenge, awesome.
I spent most of the game sticking the labels onto our cards from BB&B.
We went over to Kyle's friend Ryan's after, and talked with him, Bud and Reed for a little bit before heading home to Provo.

Friday was also a good night. After running a couple of errands after work, Kyle and I got the Jazz Meal Deal from Papa Murphy's and watched some basketball.

We're down to 6 1/2 weeks, and could not be more excited.
Life is crazy, but I couldn't be happier :)
