Some Favorite Lyrics
Waking up I see that everything is OK
The first time in my life and now it's so great
Slowing down I look around and I am so amazed
I think about the little things that make life great
I wouldn't change a thing about it
This is the best feeling
This innocence is brilliant
I hope that it will stay
This moment is perfect
Please don't go away
I need you now
And I'll hold on to it
Don't you let it pass you by
I found a place so safe, not a single tear
The first time in my life and now it's so clear
Feel calm, I belong, I'm so happy here
It's so strong and now I let myself be sincere
I wouldn't change a thing about it
This is the best feeling
It's a state of bliss, you think you're dreaming
It's the happiness inside that you're feeling
It's so beautiful it makes you wanna cry
It's a state of bliss, you think you're dreaming
It's the happiness inside that you're feeling
It's so beautiful it makes you wanna cry

Kyle is the best because...
He went grocery shopping without me on Tuesday night, so I could finish my homework.
And while he was there, he bought me chocolate covered pretzels, which are one of my most favorite snacks.
I love him.
Also, as of tomorrow, we are 1/4 of the way through the semester! I think that that is quite a happy thought! I also am taking my first midterm of the semester tomorrow. How fitting. AND it's February next week. Which means that there is only a little over 3 months until we get married! And LOST starts next week. February is for sure going to be one of my busiest months ever. I have 6 midterms (not including the one I'm taking tomorrow) to take, an all day conference in SLC to attend, a bridal shower for Leanna to party at, receptions for Nancy, and Kellie to be happy at, a show at the Velour to go see, a paper to write, a bridal fair to attend, the Superbowl to watch, a probable date night to attend, family to see, a holiday to celebrate, a few other various assignments to complete, and a wedding to keep planning. Oh my. Good thing that in the middle of the month we have a 3 day weekend! Oh, and as well as celebrating our 8 month dating anniversary.
Life is good.

Sometimes lyrics say it better than words
Love makes the world go round
Just to be with you
Two is better than one
Life with you makes perfect sense, you're my best friend
I will go down as your lover, your friend
You are my only one
This is wonderful as loving goes
We belong together
Standing in the light of your halo, I've got my angel now
Oh, it is love
Some hearts just get lucky sometimes
He's everything to me
You have stolen my heart
Livin' our love song
You've got magic inside your fingertips
Everyone calls you amazing, I just call you mine
You're everything I need, and more
You make me smile

You are my only one
This is wonderful as loving goes
We belong together
Standing in the light of your halo, I've got my angel now
Oh, it is love
Some hearts just get lucky sometimes
He's everything to me
You have stolen my heart
Livin' our love song
You've got magic inside your fingertips
Everyone calls you amazing, I just call you mine
You're everything I need, and more
You make me smile

My Little Notes
Dear Kyle,
Happy 7 months! I love you so much, and I am so excited to be married and to be with you forever I can hardly stand it. You are so good to me, and I'm so thankful for you. Also, my life would suck without you :)
Love,
Britt
Dear Winter Semester,
Why have only two weeks gone by? You see, I'm getting married at the end of the semester, and would like that time to hurry up and come. Also, I'm not looking forward to 11 midterms this semester, so if time could speed up (except when I need to study) that would be great.
Thanks,
Britt
Dear Computer,
Why will you never register that I have put my memory card into you? All I want to do is put the pictures on my computer, so I can then use them on facebook and on my blogs.
Frustratedly,
Britt
Dear Laundry,
I promise I'll get you done today or tomorrow.
-Britt
Dear Weather,
Even if time can't hurry up and make it spring, it is perfectly acceptable for you to act like it's spring. Please bring on weather above 50 degrees.
Much appreciated,
Britt
Dear Wedding Plans,
Are you done yet?
Sincerely,
Britt
Dear Dashboard Confessional,
Thanks for being my favorite band for the last 6 years. However, I am not happy that I have missed seeing you three times in the last couple of months. Please come to SLC again, and I promise I won't miss you. Also, if you could start recording songs that sound more like your old stuff, that would be great too.
Your fan,
Britt

Book Reviews
I read two great books this week. I know, it's the first week of school and all, but.... I had to. Books compel me to read them, it's bad.
#1) Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay
This book brought together both the story of a littleJewish girl, Sarah, who was part of the round up that happened in Paris in 1942, and a modern day American journalist, Julia, living in Paris. The book was horribly depressing in some parts, slightly hopeful in others, and did a great job of telling both stories. I would recommend it, but probably not to everyone.
#2) Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
This is the second book in The Hunger Games trilogy and was every bit as intriguing and wonderful as the first. There's really not much I can say about it, The Hunger Games have such a new plot that it's hard to explain when someone hasn't read them. But it was amazing. I highly recommend it. The third and last installment comes out in August, I believe, and I can't wait!

Observations
New wedding pet peeves. Or maybe just annoyances.
1) when people tell me,"you're engaged!" No... Really? I had no idea.
2) when people tell me, "you're going to love married life!" Again, really? I thought I was getting married so I could live a life I'm going to hate.
Also, I'm trying to decide why I don't like going to college basketball games as much as I liked going to high school basketball games. I was at EVERY high school basketball game. I stood the entire time, was decked out in our colors, sang the fight song, cheered the right cheers, paid attention. And, at select half times, I would perform for Drill Tream.
Now, basketball ball games hold little interest to me. I try to wear at least the right color, if I go. I can only pay attention the last couple of minutes, and I like the half time entertainment more than the game.
What changed? Maybe it's because I don't personally know anyone on the team. Maybe it's because the arena is so huge, and so loud, that I feel like I'm going to die from either claustrophia or of my eardrums exploding. And I can't see the floor as easily.
I don't know. But at least one thing has stayed the same.
I DO cheer for the right team, and I DO care if we win.
At least I have some team spirit.
[Note: this could all be applied to high school football vs college football games.]
.... I had like 2 other things to talk about, but I don't remember. I'll get back to you.

I'm jumping on the bandwagon
[Edit: I will be adding pictures a little later, and probably shortening this post.]
It's that time of year, you know... When you recap the last year, and make resolutions and goals for the coming year. I'm going to try to give you a slight recap of last year, although I will most likely miss out on a few events, so bare with me.
