I probably killed another small tree today.
I killed one on Tuesday, and yesterday's was probably a small shrub.
Confused? Let me explain.
I'm HR Supervisor for my job, right? Well, we are having a Reunion Party this Saturday, and we're expecting anywhere from 50-100 kids to show up. SO, on Tuesday I spent about 5 hours printing off job descriptions, employee incentives, and applications to put into packets for Saturday. That's 8 pages a packet, for approx 100 kids. That's 800 sheets of paper right there. I spent yesterday printing out a few more, in order to have enough. Today, I am getting packets ready for our first manager meeting on Monday. I only have 11 packets to make, but each packet has about 60 pieces of paper in it. That's 660 pieces of paper.
I am a tree killer.
And to think I actually used to wear a shirt that said, "Hug A Tree" on it.
Wait until I'm getting ready for Orientation/Check-In in May. I'll need to print out Employee Info Packets (around 10 pages) and Employee Handbooks (about 25 pages) for, oh, 250 employees. That's a lot of paper. Almost 9000 sheets in fact. 18 reams of paper. That's also going to take a lot of staples, and a lot of ink.
