HAPPY 6 MONTHS TO ME!

This week is pretty crazy, I have things to look forward to, and things to dread. Some things to look forward to are....
-Girls night tonight with my RS Presidency. Dinner and then making invites to the RS Retreat!
-BYU vs Utah basketball game tonight
-Enrichment tomorrow at the Bishop's
-LOST tomorrow!
-Snowboarding for my FIRST time on Friday.
-RS Retreat in a couple of weeks
-Katie and Jason's wedding!
-Possibly going to California over the President's day weekend!
However, things to dread include writing two papers, studying and taking a Chemistry test, catching up on Chemistry homework, catching up on reading for most of my classes.
Life is so great though. Sam's been in town, so he was able to come with me to church, and we've been able to catch up. I spent all Saturday and Sunday with Ayisha, the best friend ever. I started attending a new Sunday School class on Sunday that goes for 12 weeks about the Atonement and Addiction. I've seen the hand of God in my life countless times in the last few weeks. I've heard from Caleb, Collin and Aaron within the last week. I have the best ward ever, and so many good friends. I'm broke, but who needs money, right?

Latest Addictions
I just started watching LOST last night. I was over at Kyle/Garyn/Sam/Jay's and Kyle and Jay love it, so I of course watched it, and I'm hooked. I'll be honest, the reason I haven't gotten into it sooner is because I knew I would get addicted. And I did. All I want to do right now is curl up on my couch and have a LOST marathon of the first 4 seasons. I'm pretty sure that's what I'm going to be doing this whole weekend.
Garyn brought these home from the great land of Canada. I tried one just to say I had had one, and I proceeded to finish the whole container. They are delicious. They sound gross, I know, but really - they're the best thing that has ever happened to me. I looked them up online, and am going to buy them and get them shipped to me. I'm so excited.
Headbands. I usually am one to get up and do my hair every morning. Lately, I've been a lot more lazy, and have resorted to headbands and ponytails. I especially love the headbands that are like the one picture above (although not pink - I usually go with black or white). They're super comfy and keep the hair out of your face. They're wonderful.

MKL is my hero.
And not just because he gives me a day off every January. But isn't it a bit ironic that yesterday was MLK day, and today the first black President of the United States is being inaugarated? Yes, a bit.
Anyway, I didn't get on here to go off about the election, I don't think I need to, nor do I want to. I just want to give all you faithful bloggers an update of my life.
Classes are still going well. I mean, I hate Chemistry with a passion, but I'll get over it. I'm keeping up with homework pretty well too, go me! I really struggle in that department....
Last week on Wednesday and Thursday I had a booth set up in the Wilk for the RM/YL Job Fair. I was so official in my dress pants and name tag. As Ayisha said, "you have such a grown up job." Haha - it's weird to think about sometimes, but I really do.
So, this last weekend was super eventful.
Friday, after a day of school, I went home and napped. Then, I went to the temple with Corinne and Mal. Like I've said before, I love these girls. And I love the temple. When I got home, I ventured over to #41, where Riley and Josh were just chilling, so I sat down and chatted and watched the beginning of The Last Samurai. Then, Em called me, and her, me, Landon, Michael and some others went over to the UVU Institute dance. It was pretty fun, minus the techno music, and feeling like the floor was going to cave in any minute. Then we went back to the Riv, where Jigga was throwing one of his dance parties... Like all of his parties, it was crazy fun! Then me, Em, Landon and Michael went back to Em's and played the Wii Fit. It's seriously our new addiction, the thing is fabulous. Then Nat got home and we watched While You Were Sleeping, which finished at about 2:30 am. End of first weekend day.
Saturday, I slept in until 12 or so. Then me, Nat and Em went over to Landon's and made waffles, and Riley made us delicious Orange Julius'. After that, I went home and got ready, and me and Missy went on a completely awkward 'psuedo-date' (Missy's words) with Sean and his cousin Dagon or Daegon or... Something like that. That lasted all of an hour and a half, and we were out of there. I won't even bother to tell you what we did. After that, I hopped on over to the lounge where our ward was meeting to carpool up to Midway where we went ice skating. I dislike ice skating. With a passion. I used to try to fool myself and told others that I liked it, but I've come to grips with the fact that it is not fun. So, I just hung with the Bishop and Sister Jeffs and huddled around the heater and drunk hot chocolate while everyone else was out and about on the ice. It was still fun, I enjoyed talking to those who were taking a break... My ward's so great. I love everyone in it. Seriously, I'm so blessed. (Shout out to TAMN, love her.) After the ward activity, me, Alicia, and Lindsay headed over to #32 (Andrew, Michael, Corey and James) for a "group activity/getting to know you/date night" hahah. Emily came over, and then Ryan and Tiare came too. We chatted, played Funny Bones (my new favorite game - nose to nose!), ate brownies and ice cream, and played signs. It was so much fun, and it was good to get to know some other people in the ward better, outside of my little posse.
Sunday was church. Dani sang in Sacrament, and it was beautiful. Our High Counselman gave a great talk about Elder Andersen' talk from last Conference, "You Know Enough." I loved that talk, and it was refreshing to hear about it again. We had our weekly meeting, which I love, and then I went home, and napped. Then it was back to the TNRB for a stake-wide leadership training. They tried something a little bit different this semester, which was nice, those meetings get kind of boring, and repetitive. I ate dinner with Em, Nat, Brad and Nate. We made cookies... Then went to Ward Prayer, played some ping-pong, went over to #36 (Garyn, Sam, Jay, Kyle) and watched Kung Fu Panda, and then it was time for our SOP!! (Sleep over party, Emily came up with the name.) We get so funny when we're together... We watched Step Up, made friendship bracelets, chatted, went to Macey's at 3 am, and finally crashed at about 4 am. We woke up at 12:30 and made french toast, yum! Then, I went home, showered, and went over to #36 and we headed up to the Auto Show in Sandy. Ok, the Auto Show was amazing. I love cars. I know nothing about them, but I love them. My love from cars stems from Ayisha and her love for Mustangs rubbing off on me since we were 12, and also from Caleb and his beautiful '69 Camaro. You can't not ride in that car and say you don't like it, you can't. So, at this Auto Show, I saw lots of great cars.... but my favorite was the '69 Camaro, and the '69 Mustang. The Camaro is currently the background on my phone, and probably will be for quite a while. When I go over to Sam's and get the real photos he took from him, I'll post them. It was awesome. So then we went home and immediately left for FHE at Brother Mecham's house. His grandkids were there, and little blond haired, dimpled, 4 year old Jamen stole my heart. He's the sweetest little boy I have ever seen. He just sat on my lap and told me stories and drew me pictures and tickled me... So cute.
And so that was my weekend. This was a ridiculous long post. Kudos to those who made it all the way through.

Classes
So, I have now been to one class of each of my classes.
Here are the results.
French 202 - not what I was expecting, French Lit class anyone? But, it shouldn't be too difficult, as long as I keep up on the homework, and work on my comprehension skills. Lexi is in my class, so that is exciting :)
Chem 101 - Already, blah. There's going to be labs, and work, and just... No good. I'm not excited about it in the least bit. Megan's in that class, as well as Chelsea, who is also in my French class. Yay for friends... That means, study groups and lab partners. Yes! And, Riley is a Chem major, so he's probably going to be my personal tutor this semester.
D&C - Love the teacher, he's very friendly, cheerful, and passionate. However, it's going to be beastly hard. Bring on more BYU religion classes...
Eng 251 - Well, this should be a good class... About theory? Weird. But, I'm excited for it. I've been in need of a good English class.
SFL 210 (Human Development) - Love this class already. (I better, since it's my major, ha.) The professor seems great, subject matter is interesting, Lauren is my TA and Kyle's in the class. I'm freaking excited.
So, there we go. I'll update as I go on, and start doing the work for all the classes. I hate buying books though, can I tell you? I'm going to be spending at least $400+ this semester. Gag me with a spoon. Who do I look like to you? A rich college student? ... Oh wait, those don't exist.
